Roding Primary School achieve the Bronze Equalities Award from EqualiTeach

Roding Primary School are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze Equalities Award by EqualiTeach.  A lot of hard work, dedication and effort went into ensuring that our school is fully inclusive in all aspects.  Mr Warmington, who is the Equalities Lead at the school, worked alongside children, staff, governors and parents to look at ways in which equalities could be embedded throughout the whole school

Roding Primary School remains focussed on promoting and celebrating the diversity within our school and curriculum.  We are currently working on obatining the Stonewall Award and in the near future, the school will begin working towards achieving the silver equalities award from EqualiTeach.

Young Person’s Climate Summit

On the 14th March, some enthusiastic current and past Green Team members attended Barking and Dagenham’s first ever Young Person’s Climate Summit. They joined a number of other primary schools from across the borough and shared their thoughts and opinions regarding climate change. Their ideas will then be put forward to the council to enable positive change in regards to our local area. The children were fantastic and great ambassadors for our school. The children were also lucky enough to meet rugby legend Martin Offiah, who delivered a powerful speech about the importance of sustainability and renewable energy.
