Animal Welfare Team

Our Animal Welfare Team at Hewett Road are responsible for ensuring that our hens (Angel and Sapphire) are well looked after.

Each week, a year group take a turn at letting them out, feeding and watering them, collecting the eggs and ensuring that Angel and Sapphire have a comfortable and clean pen and coop. The Animal Welfare Team are in addition to this and check that the fox deterrent is working effectively and that the hens are are clean and healthy. They also check that the year group is completing all of their tasks!

We have two very happy, healthy and plump hens!
