Letter From Roding
Dear Roding Family,
The school has welcomed back, over the last few weeks, many pupils from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 as per the government guidelines. It has been great for us all to see many of our pupils again who we have really missed. The children have been so sensible and have behaved fantastically in adapting to the new systems and changes within school – we are really proud of them.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to welcome back our other year groups until after the summer holidays. This will be Thursday 3rd September at the very earliest. Like all schools, we are awaiting government guidance as to how best to facilitate the re-integration of other year groups. There is a possibility that we may need to stagger our full re-opening but we will provide confirmation of any decisions made closer to the time.
We are looking forward to school returning to normal. I am sure you are too! The end of this term is going to be busy with staff preparing a slightly altered curriculum to help the children adjust back into school as well as to help them catch up on learning missed due to the lockdown.
Part of this planning for next year will mean school will close for all pupils on Friday 17th July.
Finally, thank you to all our families who have been so patient and supportive during this difficult time.
