Wednesday, 17th June update for Parents
As you may know, we have recently increased the number of pupils attending school in line with Government guidelines.
More keyworker children are now in and we have opened the doors to Reception, Year 6 and Year 1. We even have some nursery children starting soon.
As we have to follow strict government guidance (eg pupils have to sit 2m apart) and we are short of staff we are now reaching pupil capacity and very few additional children can attend until the guidance and staff availability changes. If you do want your Keyworker/YR, Y1 and Y6 child to start you will have to register this at the office. Unfortunately, we may not be able to enrol them if we do not have improved capacity.
All this means, it is more important than ever, that children at home access as much of the on-line work as possible especially as we do not know what the arrangements for a Sept return will be.
EYFS, Y1 & 2 should look at their blogs: https://www.rodingprimaryschool.co.uk/year-group-blogs/
Y3, 4, 5 & 6 should access their daily learning tasks on google classroom.
Over the next few days, I will be asking my staff team to think about new and exciting ways we can help your children engage even more during the last few weeks of term.
Please do your best to ensure your child looks at the home-learning offer at least once per day. More importantly, speak to the person who calls home OR call the school: Cann: 02082704010 or Hew: 02082706640 or email the school: email@example.com if you have any problems or concerns about what your child should be doing at home.
Finally, when I get information about the re-opening in September, free school meals during the summer OR any other important updates I will forward them to you as soon as I can.
Thank you for everything you are doing.
