Welcome from the Heads

Welcome to Roding Primary School

We are a big school over two sites with, as you can imagine LOTS going on. Here you will find hard-working and engaging pupils, dedicated staff working alongside supportive and proud parents. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for pupils, parents and the wider community.

At Roding Primary School, we nurture and educate our children, enabling them to embody and practise our six school values:

  • Responsibility
  • Respectfulness
  • Resilience
  • Optimism
  • Caring
  • Creativity

and apply them to every aspect of their lives and learning.

We believe that this commitment cultivates inquisitive, determined, respectful individuals who are aware of their own needs and how important their physical and mental wellbeing is to their futures; thereby ensuring that they are well-prepared for all stages of learning and are able to contribute positively to all of the communities they are part of throughout their lives.

This is further supported through a range of rich and meaningful experiences and opportunities. that are embedded in our curriculum. Please visit our ‘View of the year’ page to get a flavour of these.

We have high expectations of all our children. Academic achievement is important and our children strive to meet these expectations, making good progress throughout their time with us.

Our children are active in the school community and all participate in various roles and responsibilities. We believe that these responsibilities are essential to developing awareness of wider issues and in creating individuals who are prepared for a successful and rewarding future that sees them contributing positively to society.

Thank you very much for your interest in the work of our school and we very much hope you enjoy exploring our website.
