Inclusion
At Roding Primary School, we are proud to foster a culture of inclusion and diversity, where the rights and needs of every pupil are recognised and respected — including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Inclusion runs through each of Roding’s core values and we believe that every child deserves a rich and fulfilling education that enables them to reach their full potential. Our staff embrace and celebrate difference, recognising the unique strengths and achievements of every individual.
At Roding, all staff receive ongoing training and support to ensure best practices in SEND provision. Our teachers, support staff, and SENDCOs work collaboratively through open and frequent communication to meet the needs of our pupils. We also value the vital role of families in a child’s education. By building trusting and open relationships with parents and carers, we aim to work as a team to secure the best possible outcomes for every child.
Roding Primary School is committed to making proactive and reasonable adjustments across the school to ensure that all children can access and participate fully in every aspect of school life. We have also developed specialist teaching spaces designed to provide a nurturing and responsive learning environment to support children whose needs may not be fully met in a mainstream classroom setting (The Harbour).
